John Huot

John Duffy Huot is an American politician serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2019, representing District 56B. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, he has focused his legislative work on public safety, state government finance, and health policy. Outside of his political career, Huot has worked as an emergency medical technician and a sports referee. He is known for advocating for volunteer EMT support, sponsoring emergency funding for the Minnesota Zoo, and supporting legislation to eliminate the statute of limitations on reporting sexual assault.
