John Payton

John Payton is an American politician and state legislator currently serving in the Arkansas Senate. Prior to his election to the Senate, he served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2013 to 2022, where he held the position of Majority Whip. Outside of his legislative career, Payton works as an auto dealer and cattle rancher. He is a member of the National Rifle Association and has been noted for sponsoring legislation regarding bathroom access in public facilities.
