Josef Hechenberger is an Austrian politician and agricultural official who has served as a member of the National Council since 2019. A farmer and tourism entrepreneur by trade, he has also served as the president of the Tyrolean Chamber of Agriculture since 2007. Politically, he is a member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and is known for his advocacy for agricultural interests, including the mandatory labeling of meat origins, opposition to the EU-Mercosur trade agreement, and his vocal stance against the return of wolves to alpine regions.
