Josiah Magnuson

Josiah Magnuson is an American politician serving as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for the 38th district since 2016. A member of the Republican Party, he has been a prominent conservative voice in the state legislature and was elected as the Secretary of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus in 2021. Magnuson is known for his staunch anti-abortion stance, having sponsored the South Carolina Prenatal Equal Protection Act of 2023. In addition to his legislative duties, he serves as the 2nd Vice Chair of the House Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environmental Affairs Committee and is a member of the House Legislative Oversight Committee.
