Josimar Maranhãozinho

Josimar Maranhãozinho is a Brazilian politician and businessman who served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies representing the state of Maranhão. He began his political career as the mayor of Maranhãozinho, serving two terms from 2005 to 2012, followed by a tenure in the Legislative Assembly of Maranhão from 2015 to 2019. Known for his strong electoral base in the interior of the state, he was elected to the federal Chamber of Deputies in 2018. In March 2026, he was convicted by the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil for corruption and participation in a criminal organization related to the diversion of parliamentary amendments.
