Julio León Heredia is a Venezuelan politician and military figure who served as the Governor of Yaracuy from 2008 to 2025. A member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), he won the 2008 regional elections comfortably and held office for multiple terms. Prior to his political career, he served in the Venezuelan air force, though his military service was cut short following his participation in the November 1992 coup attempt against President Carlos Andrés Pérez.
