He later served as a key aide to former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, holding positions such as Chief of Staff and Political Advisor. Since entering the National Assembly in 2020, he has been an influential figure within the Democratic Party, serving as Chief of Staff to party leader Lee Jae-myung and holding various leadership roles, including head of the Strategic Planning Committee and floor leadership positions.
