K. Gopinath

K. Gopinath is an Indian politician who served as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly representing the Hosur constituency. A member of the Indian National Congress, he was first elected to the assembly in 2001 and subsequently re-elected in 2006 and 2011. He held the seat until 2016, when he was defeated by P. Balakrishna Reddy of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Born in Hosur, Krishnagiri district, in 1962, he has remained active in regional politics throughout his career.
