Kadir Kasirga

Kadir Kasirga is a Swedish politician of Kurdish descent who currently serves as a Member of the Riksdag. He previously held a seat in the Swedish parliament from 2018 to 2020 before returning to office in 2022. In addition to his parliamentary duties, he has been active in local politics, including serving as an opposition city councilor in Stockholm. In 2023, Kasirga gained international attention when he was denied entry to Turkey while serving as an OECD election observer, a decision attributed to his past interactions with the Syrian Democratic Forces.
