Kai Jan Krainer is an Austrian politician and a long-serving member of the National Council, representing the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) since 2002. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has gained significant prominence for his active role in various investigative committees, including those examining the Ibiza affair and corruption allegations against the ÖVP. Before entering federal politics, he was involved in local Viennese politics and youth organizations. Krainer currently serves as the SPÖ's spokesperson for budget and finance matters.
