Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar

Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar is an Indian physician and politician serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha representing the Barasat constituency. A long-time member of the All India Trinamool Congress, she previously led the party's women's wing before resigning from all party positions in May 2026, citing internal corruption and concerns regarding the handling of the 2024 Kolkata rape and murder case. Educated at R. G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, she has dedicated much of her career to community health initiatives. Throughout her tenure, she has served on various parliamentary committees and as a member of the Panel of Chairpersons.
