Sohei Kamiya is a Japanese politician and entrepreneur currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors and as the leader of the Sanseito party. After beginning his political career as a member of the Suita City Council in Osaka, he founded the 'Ryoma Project' to network conservative local politicians. Kamiya is known for his advocacy of educational reform, traditional Japanese values, and a 'Japan First' political stance. He has been a vocal critic of the current Japanese constitution, which he argues was imposed under occupation, and supports strengthening national defense and achieving greater autonomy in foreign policy. Through his company, Ishiki Kaikaku, he has utilized digital media to disseminate his political and historical views, often emphasizing anti-globalist perspectives and the importance of national identity.
