Kanat Bozumbayev is a Kazakh politician and administrator who has been serving as the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan since 2024. Throughout his extensive career in government and the quasi-public sector, he has held several high-level positions, including Minister of Energy from 2016 to 2019, where he oversaw significant infrastructure projects and the modernization of the country's oil refineries. He has also served as the Akim (governor) of the Jambyl, Pavlodar, and Almaty regions, as well as an advisor and assistant to the President. A graduate of the Kazakh State Academy of Management, Bozumbayev began his professional career as an economist before rising through the ranks of the national energy and administrative sectors.
