Keiko Yoshida is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the Iwate Prefectural Assembly. Born in Morioka in 1978, she graduated from Sophia University before working in the apparel industry and serving as a JICA volunteer in Bolivia. After returning to Japan, she worked at the Iwate Prefectural Gender Equality Center. First elected to the prefectural assembly in 2010, she has focused her legislative career on gender equality, child-rearing support, and regional development. She notably became the first member of the Iwate Prefectural Assembly to experience pregnancy and childbirth while in office, leading her to advocate for improved perinatal medical care and postpartum support systems.
