Ken Brass is an American politician and engineer currently serving as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for the 58th district, a position he has held since November 2017. An electrical engineering graduate of Southern University, he balances his legislative duties with a professional career as an engineer at BASF. Prior to his election to the state legislature, Brass served on the St. James Parish Council and the Lutcher Board of Aldermen. He is a member of the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus and serves as vice chair of the House Transportation, Highways and Public Works Committee. In 2022, he was recognized as the Legislator of the Year by the Louisiana School Boards Association.
