Kerstin Brauner is a German politician and a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Born in 1976 in Berlin-Spandau, she studied law at the University of Potsdam and qualified as a lawyer. Before entering the state parliament, she worked as a legal advisor for a federal chamber. Her political career began with a long tenure in the Spandau District Assembly, where she served from 1999 to 2023. In 2023, she successfully won a direct mandate for the Spandau 3 constituency, securing her seat in the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin.
