Khady Diène Gaye

Khady Diène Gaye is a Senegalese politician and the current Minister of Youth and Sports. Born in Joal-Fadiouth, she holds a degree in law from Gaston Berger University and specialized training from the National Institute for Popular Education and Sport (INSEPS) at Cheikh Anta Diop University. Before her ministerial appointment, she served as a regional sports inspector and held various leadership roles within the Ministry of Sports. She is a prominent member of the PASTEF party and became the first woman to lead the sports ministry in Senegal in April 2024. Her policy priorities include reforming the national sports charter and enhancing sports education across all school levels.
