Kim Johnson

Kim Johnson is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Liverpool Riverside since 2019, becoming the first Black MP to represent the city. Before entering Parliament, she worked as a Unison shop steward and a creative diversity manager. Throughout her parliamentary career, she has served on committees including the Women and Equalities Committee and the Education Committee. Johnson is known for her outspoken advocacy on social justice issues, though she has occasionally faced controversy for her public remarks and has previously resigned from frontbench roles to vote against government legislation.
