Kirti Azad

Kirti Azad is an Indian politician and former professional cricketer who is currently serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha for the Bardhaman-Durgapur constituency. A member of the 1983 Cricket World Cup-winning Indian team, he transitioned into politics following his father, Bhagwat Jha Azad. Throughout his political career, he has been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Indian National Congress, and currently the Trinamool Congress. Known for his outspoken nature, he has been involved in various controversies, including his opposition to the Indian Premier League and recent allegations regarding conduct within the Parliament House.
