Kléber Mesquida is a French politician currently serving as the President of the Departmental Council of Hérault, a position he has held since 2015. Born in 1945 in Douaouda, Algeria, he has had a long career in local and national politics, including serving as the Mayor of Creissan and Saint-Pons-de-Thomières, as well as representing the fifth constituency of Hérault in the National Assembly from 2002 to 2017. In 2025, he left the Socialist Party to join La Convention, a party founded by Bernard Cazeneuve.
