Krista Mikkonen is a Finnish politician and a member of the Parliament of Finland, representing the Green League. Born in Hamina in 1972, she was first elected to parliament in 2015 for the Savo-Karelia constituency. Throughout her career, she has served as the chairman of the Green League parliamentary group and held the position of Minister of the Interior. Mikkonen holds a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Joensuu and has previously served on the advisory board of the National Audit Office of Finland.
