Kristina Herbst

Kristina Herbst is a German politician and the current President of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein, having assumed the office in June 2022. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), she previously served as the State Secretary for Rural Areas and Municipalities in the Ministry of the Interior of Schleswig-Holstein from 2017 to 2022. Before entering politics, she worked in business administration and project management, notably overseeing the renovation of the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein. She holds a degree in business administration from the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel.
