Luong Tam Quang is a Vietnamese politician and high-ranking police officer currently serving as the Minister of Public Security since June 2024 and as a member of the Politburo since August 2024. Born in 1964 in Hung Yen province, he has spent his career within the security sector, previously holding roles such as head of the Economic Security Department and chief of staff for the Ministry of Public Security. He was promoted to the rank of colonel general in 2022 and has been a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam since 2021.
