Larry Walker III

Larry Walker III is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Georgia State Senate representing the 20th district. He assumed office in 2015 following a special election to succeed Ross Tolleson and was elected as the Senate President Pro Tempore in January 2026. Walker, whose father Larry Walker served for over thirty years in the Georgia House of Representatives, is known for his legislative work, including the introduction of S.B. 390 in 2024, which sought to restrict government funding for libraries affiliated with the American Library Association.
