Leandro Zdero

Leandro Zdero is an Argentine politician and architect who has served as the Governor of Chaco Province since December 2023. A member of the Juntos por el Cambio coalition, he secured a significant electoral victory that ended 16 years of continuous rule by the Justicialist Party in the province. Before his election as governor, Zdero worked as a teacher at the National University of the Northeast and held various local political roles, including unsuccessful bids for the mayoralty of Resistencia in 2015 and 2019. Upon taking office, he prioritized a comprehensive audit of the provincial administration to address concerns regarding public spending and government staffing levels.
