After passing the 43rd bar examination, she practiced law and served as an advisor to various organizations, including the Korean Medical Association. She entered politics through the Grand National Party and held several advisory roles before being elected as the Mayor of Gangdong District in 2022. She was re-elected in 2026. Her administration has focused on transportation infrastructure, such as the GTX-D line, urban development projects like the Godeok Business Valley, and social welfare initiatives.
