Leon Jooste is a Namibian politician and businessperson who served as Minister of Public Enterprises until March 2022. Educated at Stellenbosch University, he later entered politics as a member of SWAPO and was appointed to the National Assembly of Namibia in 2004, subsequently holding several deputy ministerial portfolios before becoming Minister of Public Enterprises in 2015. Throughout his political career, he managed key government portfolios and undertook structural reforms of state-owned enterprises before resigning from Parliament and cabinet in 2022.
