A self-described moderate, liberal, and pro-European politician, he previously served as the mayor of Faissault and as a departmental councilor. Beyond his political career, he has held leadership roles within the UIMM (Union of Metallurgy Industries and Trades) and has been involved in technological development projects in Charleville-Mézières. He was first elected to the National Assembly in 2022, lost his seat in 2024, and successfully regained it in a legislative by-election later that same year.
