Lucia Witbooi is a Namibian politician and teacher serving as the Vice President of Namibia since 2025. A long-serving member of the National Assembly from 2009 to 2025, she previously held ministerial roles including Deputy Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security. In her political career, she has also advocated for Germany to pay reparations for the Herero and Nama genocide.
