Máté Kocsis is a Hungarian politician, jurist, and sports administrator currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly. He previously held the position of Mayor of Józsefváros from 2009 to 2018 and served as the leader of the Fidesz parliamentary group from 2018 to 2026. A graduate of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, he has been active in national politics since 2010, focusing on security and legal affairs. Since 2015, he has also served as the president of the Hungarian Handball Federation.
