María Luisa Montoto

María Luisa Montoto de Rogel is an Argentine ophthalmologist and politician currently serving as a National Deputy for Santiago del Estero. She assumed office in 2019 and was subsequently elected in her own right in 2021. Prior to her national legislative career, she served as a councilwoman in the city of La Banda from 2018 to 2019. In the Chamber of Deputies, she is a member of the Frente de Todos parliamentary bloc and serves on several commissions, including those focused on public health, elderly people, and science. She is known for her conservative stance on social issues, having voted against the legalization of abortion in Argentina in 2020.
