Marcello Gemmato

Marcello Gemmato is an Italian politician and pharmacist serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2018. Since November 2022, he has held the position of Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Health in the Meloni government. A long-time member of the right-wing political sphere, he began his career in student politics and served as a municipal councilor in Bari. Gemmato is known for his critical stance on certain COVID-19 pandemic management policies, including questioning the efficacy of vaccination campaigns, though he has maintained his support for the validity of vaccines for vulnerable populations.
