Marco Marsilio

Marco Marsilio is an Italian politician currently serving as the President of the Abruzzo region, a position he has held since 2019 and for which he was re-elected in 2024. Born in Rome, he holds a degree in Philosophy from Sapienza University and previously worked as a lecturer at Link Campus University. Marsilio began his political career in student movements and served as a city councilor in Rome before being elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2008 and the Senate in 2018. A founding member of the Brothers of Italy party, he is known for his national-conservative political stance and his leadership roles within the European Conservatives and Reformists Group at the European Committee of the Regions.
