Marek Sawicki is a Polish politician and agricultural engineer who has served as a member of the Sejm since 1993. A long-standing member of the Polish People's Party, he held the position of Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development between 2007 and 2012, and again from 2014 to 2015. In 2023, he was appointed as the Marshal Senior of the Sejm for the X term. Throughout his career, he has focused on agricultural policy and rural development, having previously served as a local government official and a government plenipotentiary for rural telecommunications.
