Margaret Arney

Margaret Arney is an American politician and educator serving as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly for the 18th district since 2025. Born in Milwaukee, she holds degrees from Harvard University and the University of Chicago. Before her election to the state legislature, she worked as a nonprofit consultant and administrator, notably managing the African American Leadership Program at Cardinal Stritch University. She previously served on the Wauwatosa Common Council from 2022 to 2026, where she was the first African American councilmember in the city's history.
