斉藤まりこ

Mariko Saito is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly representing Adachi Ward. After graduating from Keio University, she worked in the private sector and for foreign-affiliated companies before becoming involved in civic activism, notably founding a network to advocate for the expansion of licensed childcare facilities. She entered politics in 2015 and was first elected to the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly in 2017. Her policy focus includes childcare support, education, gender equality, and improving public services.
