Mark L. Walker

Mark L. Walker is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Illinois Senate for the 27th district. A veteran of the United States Army who served during the Vietnam War, Walker previously held a career as a senior executive at Citigroup and as a business consultant. He served multiple terms in the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 66th and 53rd districts, before his appointment to the Senate in 2024. Throughout his legislative career, he has focused on veterans' benefits, community housing, and economic development.
