Before his tenure in the Senate, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 113th district from 2013 to 2021. Prior to his political career, Flynn was a professional boxer and mixed martial arts fighter, and he also worked as a prison guard and coordinator at the Lackawanna County Prison. Throughout his legislative career, he has focused on issues such as transportation reform, child support legislation, and economic development. He is a graduate of Marywood University.
