Matthew John Kean is an Australian politician and the current Chair of the Climate Change Authority. He previously served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Hornsby from 2011 to 2024, during which time he held several senior cabinet positions, including Treasurer of New South Wales, Minister for Energy, and Minister for Environment. A member of the Liberal Party, Kean is widely regarded as a leader of the party's moderate faction and has been a prominent advocate for climate policy and net-zero emissions targets.
