Matt Windschitl is an American politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives for the 15th District. Born in Marshalltown, Iowa, he studied gunsmithing at the Colorado School of Trades and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, including a tour in Iraq. First elected to the Iowa House in 2007, he previously served as House Majority Leader from 2019 to 2025. In 2025, he announced his candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives in Iowa's 4th congressional district.
