Max Brisson

Max Brisson is a French politician serving as a Senator for the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department since 2017. A former history professor and inspector general of the National Education system, he began his political career as a municipal councillor in Biarritz in 1989 and later served as a departmental councillor. Within the Senate, he is a prominent member of The Republicans, holding the position of vice-president of the Committee on Culture, Education and Communication. He is noted for his advocacy regarding regional languages, including Basque and Occitan, and his legislative efforts to regulate short-term tourist rentals in high-demand areas.
