Mehmet Akif Yılmaz is a Turkish politician and educator who currently serves as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Born in 1975 in Ankara, he is the son of former Rize Member of Parliament Şevki Yılmaz. He completed his primary and secondary education in İzmit and his high school studies in Istanbul. Yılmaz graduated from the Faculty of Theology at Sakarya University. He has been a consistent representative for Kocaeli, having served as a Member of Parliament during the 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th legislative terms representing the Justice and Development Party.
