Melanie Matzies

Melanie Matzies is a German politician and non-fiction author serving as a member of the Landtag of Brandenburg. A psychologist by training, she studied at the Free University of Berlin and has authored several books specializing in autism and family dynamics. Elected to the state parliament in 2024 as a candidate for the BSW, she later left the party and the BSW parliamentary group. In June 2026, she co-founded the independent parliamentary group 'Wir für Brandenburg'.
