Mian Muhammad Azhar was a Pakistani politician and businessman who served as a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan representing NA-129 Lahore-XIII from February 2024 until his death in July 2025. Over a long and prominent career, he served as the Governor of Punjab from 1990 to 1993, Mayor of Lahore from 1987 to 1990, and founding president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) before later aligning with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). In addition to his political offices, he was a prominent industrialist and steel manufacturer.
