Michael Opeyemi Bamidele

Michael Opeyemi Bamidele is a Nigerian lawyer, human rights activist, and politician currently serving as the Majority Leader of the Nigerian Senate. Since 2019, he has represented the Ekiti Central senatorial district in the Senate. Throughout his career, Bamidele has held several significant administrative roles, including Commissioner for Information and Strategy and Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development in Lagos State. A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Benin, he is a Life Bencher and was conferred with the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) in 2022.
