Mikal Tseggai

Mikal Tseggai is a Dutch politician who has served as a member of the House of Representatives since the 2023 general election. Born in 1995 to parents who were refugees from Eritrea, she represents the Labour Party and is known for her focus on vocational education, media policy, gambling regulation, sex work, and human trafficking. She serves on the Committee for Justice and Security as well as the Committee for Education, Culture and Science. Tseggai was elected to parliament after receiving sufficient preference votes during the 2023 election cycle.
