Mikayil Jabbarov is an Azerbaijani politician serving as the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan since October 2019. Born in Baku in 1976, he graduated with distinction in international law from Baku State University, earned an LL.M. from the McGeorge School of Law, and a master's degree in economics from the Azerbaijan State Economic University. Over his extensive career in public service, Jabbarov has previously held key ministerial positions, including Minister of Taxes and Minister of Education, as well as leading the administration of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve. He is also actively involved in sports administration as the president of various national federations.
