Mike Kavekotora

Mike Kavekotora is a Namibian politician, member of parliament, and president of the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP). Born in Ombazu, Kunene Region, he holds a Master of Arts in developmental economics from Long Island University and a BSc in accounting from Mercy College. Before entering politics full-time, he worked as a teacher, management consultant, general manager at Telecom Namibia, chief executive officer of the National Housing Enterprise, and acting CEO of TransNamib. He was elected as RDP secretary-general in 2013, became a member of parliament following the 2014 general election, and took over as party president in 2019.
