Mitar Kovač

Profile

Mitar Kovač is a Serbian politician, university professor, and retired major general who has served as a member of the National Assembly of Serbia since 2023. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished military career, serving as the head of the Directorate for Strategic Planning in the Ministry of Defense and the Directorate for Planning and Development of the Serbian Armed Forces. He holds a doctorate in military sciences and currently teaches at the Faculty of Project and Innovation Management. Kovač was elected to parliament as a candidate for the right-wing populist organization We–The Voice from the People.
