Mohmad Haneefa

Mohmad Haneefa Jan is an Indian politician from Kargil who currently serves as a member of the 18th Lok Sabha, representing the Ladakh constituency. He entered the national political stage following his victory as an independent candidate in the 2024 general election, where he secured 65,259 votes. Prior to his election to the Lok Sabha, Haneefa was active in local politics, including a run for the Barro constituency in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil in 2023. As an independent parliamentarian, he represents the interests of the union territory of Ladakh at the national level.
